The 48-foot-wide platform is suspended from the upper metal sweeps and center pole.  It features 18 inner and outer sections with original markings and are connected with metal arcs.  This carousel is believed to be the only Dentzel with metal sweeps. This combined with the metal center pole has helped it withstand the test of time.
